Santa Farma is involved in UN Global Compact initiative since 2010. The UN sustainable development programme sets forth 17 objectives, 9 of which accept private industry as a vital actor. The method pursued for achieving an objective is as important as the objective itself for a company. And the answer to “how to do” it lies in the United Nations’ development objectives and UN Global Compact. In that respect, UN Global Compact defines the route to achieve objectives for the private industry. As a contracting party, Santa Farma undertakes to observe principles of environmental awareness and respect for human beings in different domains from production to R&D processes.
