New Logo and Fundamental Symbol
The old and new logo of Santa Farma rests on a pyramid which is portrayed in the form of a triangle in the logo. It is well known that each pyramid is made up of four triangles rising from the base only to unite at one point.
Each of the triangles constituting Santa Farma Pyramid depicts the core values Santa Farma has adopted since its incorporation. Those values are respect for the individual, openness to development, rational power, and respect for the work, workplace and community.
Meaning of Snake
The snake which was used in the old logo is maintained in the new one in the form of a curve. Snake has come to be regarded as the symbol of health and rational power in various civilizations throughout history and it was used for preparing drugs. Thus, snake symbolizes the fact that Santa Farma is dedicated to serving human health and it will always use rational power while rendering those services.
Colours
Both the old and the new logos use white colour which symbolizes cleanliness, purity, peace and stability which are associated with the principles of corporate business culture. Blue, the second colour, stands for stable union, loyalty and strong faith in addition to symbolizing eternity, farsightedness, and long-term development. It is used in the new logo as in the previous one because it reminds a peaceful working atmosphere. Red, on the other hand, symbolizes energy, power, agility and determination to continue till the end. That is why the company chose to use blue in its new logo as an organization focused on future and constant improvement.
