Santa Farma performs meticulous activities in terms of good manufacturing practices as well as all the general practices related to the environment. Santa Farma gives importance to environmental health as much as human health. Respect for human health is inseparable from respect for environment. It gives priority to leaving nature to future generations at least as good as it was taken over from older generations. Therefore, it manufactures products with eco-friendly technologies in modern production facilities and offers services by keeping in mind and reminding that its service domain is “health”. It endeavours to comply with all the environmental laws and regulations in force in addition to GMP principles under "Environmental Management System".

Accordingly, Santa Farma upholds the principles of human health, environmental awareness and social benefit in all processes ranging from production to waste management.

Members of Santa Farma also act with awareness for corporate social responsibility based on the core values of Santa Farma and the intended social impact. As Santa Farma undertakes training and awareness activities to create a corporate voluntariness culture and social responsibility culture, it prioritizes implementing sustainable social responsibility activities.

United Nations Global Compact

Santa Farma is involved in UN Global Compact initiative since 2010. The UN sustainable development programme sets forth 17 objectives, 9 of which accept private industry as a vital actor. The method pursued for achieving an objective is as important as the objective itself for a company. And the answer to “how to do” it lies in the United Nations’ development objectives and UN Global Compact. In that respect, UN Global Compact defines the route to achieve objectives for the private industry. As a contracting party, Santa Farma undertakes to observe principles of environmental awareness and respect for human beings in different domains from production to R&D processes. Santa Farma discloses the activities it undertakes to the public by means of UN Global Compact Communication on Progress Reports.
