We support trilateral management: Government-workers-employers

Mr. Erol Kiresepi, President of IOE: “We support trilateral management: government-workers-employers”

Mr. Erol Kiresepi, Chairman of Board at Santa Farma and the President of the International Organization of Employers, highlighted the critical importance of trilateral management, involving government, workers and employers, of the International Labour Organization in the United Nations General Council held in New York.

On the occasion of the centenary of the International Labour Organization (ILO), a series of events was held on April 10th in the UN Headquarters in New York. Delivering the inaugural speech in the UN General Council, Mr. Erol Kiresepi, the Chairman of Board at Santa Farma and the President of the International Organization of Employers, highlighted the strong and long-lasting cooperation with ILO and that they supported trilateral management, involving government, workers and employers.

Mr. Kiresepi makes the following comments: “As one of ILO's long-term partners, IOE is proud to help push the organization's boundaries, expand opportunities and improve the quality of life worldwide. Last year, Mr. Guy Ryder, Director General of ILO, pointed to the secret of ILO's 100-year success as its trilateral management. I absolutely agree with him. The involvement of the social parties in the management structure of the ILO is the greatest benefit of the ILO. The social parties enable the voices of the real actors in the economies to be heard and strengthen the legitimacy of the ILO's decisions. ”

“We will continue to support”

Underlining that the organization will continue to support ILO for the next 100 years, Mr. Kiresepi said, “The IOE will continue to contribute to the ILO's strengthening of its pioneering role in the UN as an expert on labor rights, social protection and social dialogue. IOE wishes to contribute to the existence of a strong ILO that leads the way in finding solutions in the areas of sustainable social development and economic development, to be part of the ILO for the next 100 years and to cooperate with its partners that cover the government and workers in order to promote prosperity and reputation for all.
