Turkish pharmaceutical company is awarded three ISO certificates upon successful completion of quality audits
Santa Farma, one of the most deep-rooted and robust domestic pharmaceutical companies in Turkey, has been awarded ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certificates based on internationally acknowledged standards for service and operational quality standards as a result of its efforts for the last one year.
ISO standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) require companies to set up quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems and ensure sustainability of those systems. Pharmaceutical companies with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certificates are known to have internationally recognized standards on various domains such as customer satisfaction, organizational efficiency, and efficient resource utilization.
Santa Farma Plant Manager and Executive Vice President, M. Mithat Cin, makes the following explanation about the certificates: “We have succeeded in being awarded international quality standards certificates which are very important for both the industry and our company as a result of the on-going efforts and auditing processes for around one year. The increase in the number of companies with ISO certificates which recognize existence of the highest standards is an indication of the development of the pharmaceutical industry which has a strategic importance for our country. Achieving those standards will provide us with significant advantages as a company with ambitious targets in both national and international markets.”
