Operating with an annual production capacity of 150 million boxes, Santa Farma's production facility in GEBKIM OIZ focuses on offering a research perspective, quality, and a broad vision to the Turkish and global pharmaceutical industry.Being one of the long-established pharmaceutical companies of Turkey, Santa Farma's production facility, which was launched into operation in the Dilovası District of Kocaeli Province in 2015 with an investment of EUR 150 million, has obtained an R&D center certificate from the Ministry of Science, Industry, and Technology. The production facility that has an indoor area of 43 thousand square meters at GEBKİM OIZ operates with an annual production capacity of 150 million boxes. The production facility's foundation had been laid in 2012 and the facility received the production license and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) approval certificate in June 2015 from the Ministry of Health and it has been holding a certificate of Compliance with the European Union's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) since November, 2016. As a result of its R&D activities, Santa Farma released 15 different pharmaceutical forms and new therapeutic products during the last three years. Centering its product development activities on difference and patent-pending products, Santa Farma has successfully implemented 12 different patent studies after moving to its production facility at GEBKİM OIZ. Emphasizing that there are many new products currently developed by the staff of experienced academicians, Mr. Erol Kiresepi, the Chairman of Santa Farma Board of Directors, said: "Our R&D center has adopted an understanding that is based on building a modern, result-oriented culture with its technological infrastructure, high performance, and purely science-based approach under guidance of internationally accepted regulations. Our people-oriented approach that is placed at the core of all our operation is adopted also at our production facility and R&D center. We are continuing our operations with the sense of responsibility and the aim of developing innovative, value-added products for offering a research perspective, quality, and a broad vision to the Turkish and global pharmaceutical industry. Currently, 33 persons are employed at our R&D center. We are planning to increase this figure to 40 next year.
