Santa Farma corporate running team ran for the Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV) at 39th Vodafone Istanbul Marathon. Donations collected by runners shall be used for KAÇUV’s Family Home Project in Pendik.
Established in 2000, the Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV) strives for offering psychological support to children and creating an ideal treatment environment for child psychology which are known to have an important role in children’s fight against cancer. The “Family Home” constructed by KAÇUV provides free services to economically disadvantaged families who come to Istanbul from other cities for the treatment of their children by means of offering accommodation, food, cleaning, social areas, kitchen and partial clothing requirements. KAÇUV currently organizes support campaigns to construct a new Family Home in Pendik following the first Family Home opened in 2012.
As the members of one of the deepest rooted pharmaceutical companies in Turkey which adopts “sensitivity to human beings” as a core value, the corporate running team of Santa Farma ran for supporting the Family Home, which shall be opened by KUÇEV, at 39th Vodafone Istanbul Marathon. A total of 89 Santa Farma employees ran for KAÇUV in order to collect donations on behalf of KAÇUV via “Adım Adım” Platform with a view to supporting KAÇUV’s new Family Home Project in Pendik. Santa Farma shall double the donation to KAÇUV by contributing a sum matching that of donations collected by Santa Farma employees.
Mr. Erol Kiresepi, President & CEO of Santa Farma, expressed his opinions about 39th Vodafone Istanbul Marathon and volunteering programs: “Santa Farma operates based on the mission of offering healthy services to health for more than 70 years and the culture of supporting activities of NGOS is a common corporate value which is adopted by all employees. Members of Santa Farma family gave a significant support for the construction of a new Family Home in Istanbul through a wide participation in KAÇUV’s support campaign in addition to raising awareness in that regard. Santa Farma contributed the same amount, matching the donation collected by its employees, to KAÇUV. We will continue to provide support based on the same sense of responsibility in the future.”
