Santa Farma manufacturing plant welcomes the members of Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commissions from TGNA as well as bureaucrats from the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology


Having been commissioned in 2015 based on an investment worth EUR 150 million, Santa Farma Manufacturing Plant and R&D Centre is capable of manufacturing 150 million boxes of drugs in a single shift.


A delegation comprised of the members of Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commissions from the Turkish Grand National Assembly and the bureaucrats from the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology led by Dr. Veysel Yatan, the Undersecretary for the Ministry, visited the manufacturing plant and R&D centre of Santa Farma, one of the most deep-rooted pharmaceutical companies in Turkey, in Dilovası GEBKIM Organized Industrial Zone.



Santa Farma Manufacturing Centre which was commissioned in 2015 based on an investment worth EUR 150 million is capable of manufacturing 150 million boxes of drugs in a single shift. The plant which is located on a land of 80 thousand sqm can manufacture drugs of various forms with batch dimensions of 15 to 1000 kg for solid forms, 100 to 1250 kg for semi-solid forms and 400 to 13000 litres for fluid forms. 


The MPs and bureaucrats in the delegation were informed about the R&D centre and manufacturing plant which is equipped with the state-of-the-art technology and compliante with cGMP and cGLP requirements. Mr. Erol Kiresepi, Santa Farma President, said: “We, Santa Farma, are proud of welcoming our MPs, the undersecretary and esteemed bureaucrats in our plant. Santa Farma has made important investments in manufacturing and R&D in recent years. We support the strategic national objectives for export-based growth in pharmaceutical industry by means of those investments which are intended to contribute to the improvement of the domestic pharmaceutical industry. We will continue to make significant contributions to our country thanks to our new manufacturing plant and the R&D centre that is focused on building a science-oriented culture.”
